Terms of service
Version 1.0, published August 2026. These terms are written in plain language and deliberately grant more than the minimum. They are under professional review and will be updated; any change applies to bookings made after it is published, never retrospectively.
Who you are contracting with
Harvardbridge Automotives is a business name of Harvardbridge Pty Ltd, ABN 37 652 613 708. Your contract is with that company — it is named here, in the privacy policy and on every quote and tax invoice, which is where it is required.
Quotes
- A quote is valid for the period shown on it.
- A quote is based on the vehicle size and condition you described. Where the vehicle is materially different on arrival — heavier contamination, damage not disclosed, an interior condition that changes the work — we will tell you before starting and either requote or proceed on the original scope. Nothing gets added to your invoice without your agreement first.
- An estimate produced by the website calculator is not a quote. Only a written, numbered quote is.
What we need on site
Safe, legal access to the vehicle, and enough space to work around it. Where you have told us there is water, power or cover, we rely on that when planning the job.
If the site turns out to be unworkable on arrival — no access, not enough room, or a carpark the van cannot enter — we will try to find a workable spot nearby with you first. If we cannot, there is no call-out charge on your first booking and we will rebook you. We would rather lose the trip than start an arrangement with an argument.
Where the work is on strata or private property, you confirm you are entitled to have it carried out there.
The limits of what detailing can do
- Machine correction removes clear coat, which is finite. We take depth readings and work within what the panel can safely give up.
- Scratches deeper than the clear coat cannot be removed safely. We identify these before starting.
- Existing damage — failing clear coat, previous repairs, aftermarket paint, stone chips, cracked trim — may be revealed or may not survive the process. We inspect and tell you where we see risk before starting.
- Protection products improve resistance and ease of maintenance. They do not make paint scratch-proof and they are not permanent.
Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees, and nothing on this website should be read as attempting to.
If something is not right, tell us. We would far rather come back and fix it.
Insurance
We carry public liability insurance. If you are a business or fleet customer and need a certificate of currency before we attend your site, ask and we will send it.
If we damage your vehicle, we will make it right. We will not hide behind the wording of a policy: tell us straight away, and we will deal with it.
Payment
Invoices are due within 7 days of the work being completed, unless your quote says otherwise. Bank transfer and PayID carry no surcharge. Where a card surcharge applies, it reflects only the actual cost to us of accepting that card and it is shown before you pay.
Business and fleet accounts can be invoiced monthly against a purchase order by arrangement.
Personal property
Please remove valuables and personal items before we start. Anything we find is left in the centre console or the glovebox and pointed out to you at handover. We do not dispose of anything from inside a vehicle without asking you first.
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
