Version 1.0, published August 2026. These terms are written in plain language and deliberately grant more than the minimum. They are under professional review and will be updated; any change applies to bookings made after it is published, never retrospectively.
Who we are
Harvardbridge Automotives is a trading division of Harvardbridge Pty Ltd (ABN 37 652 613 708), which is the entity responsible for the information described here. For anything about your personal information, email us and put “Privacy” in the subject line; the address is in the footer of every page.
What we collect, and why
- Your name, mobile and email — so we can send a quote and arrange a time.
- The service address, suburb and postcode — so we can get to the vehicle, and work out travel.
- Vehicle details — make, model, year, size class and condition, to price the work. A registration number where you give one, used internally for job records and never displayed publicly.
- Site details — water, power, cover and access notes, so the job can actually be carried out.
- Photographs you upload — to price the work accurately.
- Quote and invoice records — retained for five years, as required for tax records.
- A truncated IP address when you accept a quote — recorded to evidence the acceptance. It is shortened before storage so it identifies a network, not a household.
Photographs of your vehicle
Photographs you send are used to quote the work. Photographs we take during the job are used for our own records and, on correction work, supplied to you.
We publish a customer’s vehicle only with separate written permission, and number plates are removed or blurred first. Permission for one photograph is not permission for all of them, and it can be withdrawn.
Where it is stored, and who can see it
Quote and invoice records are held in this website’s own database on our hosting, not with a third-party quoting service. ⚠ Name the hosting provider and the country the data is stored in — a two-minute edit once you have that from your host.
Your quote or invoice has a private web link. That link is unguessable, is excluded from search engines, and is the only way the document can be viewed — anyone you forward it to can read it, so treat it as private.
⚠ List every third party that receives data and why: the email sending provider, the SMS gateway if used, the payment provider, the backup storage provider, and any analytics. If a service is not listed here, your data does not go to it.
How long we keep it
- Quotes and tax invoices — five years, as tax records require.
- Quote enquiries that never became a job — 12 months, then deleted.
- Photographs you send us — 12 months, unless they relate to a job we carried out, in which case they are kept with that job record.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. Tax records we are legally required to retain are the exception, and we will say so plainly rather than quietly ignore the request.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to fix it. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies and tracking
This site runs no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics. The fonts are served from our own server rather than from a font network, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to anyone else. If that changes, this page will say so before it does. ⚠ Update this paragraph the day any analytics tool is installed.
