About the coating
We will tell you exactly which coating is going on your car, and hand you the manufacturer’s stated durability in writing along with the maintenance conditions that figure depends on. We do not publish a headline number here, because a durability figure without its conditions attached is close to meaningless — the same coating performs very differently on a car washed properly and a car put through an automatic wash every fortnight.
What can be said now: a ceramic coating over corrected paint improves scratch resistance and makes maintenance washing considerably less damaging. It is not scratch-proof, it is not permanent, and how long it performs depends on how the car is washed afterwards — which is why the aftercare plan is part of the job rather than an afterthought.
Who it is for
New-vehicle protection from delivery, a prestige or enthusiast car, or a neglected car being brought back properly.
Why it costs what it costs
Clinical is two to three days of labour on one vehicle. At any honest hourly rate for skilled trade work, the arithmetic is the price.
Multi-stage correction means the paint is worked more than once: a compounding stage to level defects, a refining stage to remove what compounding leaves behind, and on soft or dark paint a finishing stage on top of that. Each stage is measured against depth readings taken per panel. Wet-sanding, where it happens at all, happens only where the clear coat can safely give it up and only with your signature on it.
Then the equipment and consumables: compounds and pads consumed on your car, the coating itself, the extractor, the inverter or generator, the water tank, the insurance, the van. And the travel — a mobile operator cannot spread setup and pack-down across a queue of cars in a workshop bay, and that difference is real rather than a markup.
The counterfactual is worth stating plainly. A $25 automatic wash is what puts the swirls in. Three years of those washes is precisely what this service exists to undo. The cheap option was never free — it was deferred.
