From from $1,290 incl. GST for a medium vehicle. Eight to ten hours on site.

This is where the finish actually comes back. Everything in Signature, plus machine correction of the clear coat and a protective layer over the result.

Everything in Signature, plus

  • Paint depth gauge readings taken and recorded before any machine touches the car
  • Masking of trim, badges and rubbers
  • Single-stage machine polish, removing the majority of light swirls, wash marring and holograms
  • Panel wipe to strip polishing oils, so what you see is the actual result and not filler
  • Durable sealant or entry ceramic spray, six to twelve months
  • Glass sealant on the windscreen
  • Wheels sealed off the car where practical
  • Engine bay cleaned and dressed
  • Full interior to the Signature standard

What machine correction can and cannot do

A single stage removes or substantially reduces the majority of light swirls and wash marring. How much comes out depends on the paint, its hardness and how deep the defects go — it is assessed on your car, on the day, and we tell you what we expect before we start.

What it cannot do is remove a scratch that has gone through the clear coat. There is a finite amount of clear coat and it does not grow back. Anything deeper than can be levelled safely stays, and you will hear that from us before the machine comes out rather than after. Anyone promising every scratch will disappear is either not measuring or not telling you.

Why it costs what it costs

Eight to ten hours on one vehicle, and the part that matters is irreversible. Machine correction removes clear coat. Paying for someone who takes depth readings before they polish is the entire point of the exercise — the alternative is a shiny car with less protection than it had, which is a problem that only shows up years later.

Then there are the consumables: compounds, and pads that are consumed per vehicle rather than reused. The panel wipe stage exists so oils cannot flatter the result — it costs time and it sometimes reveals work still to do, which is exactly why it is done.
